Paris Wine Girl is a small travel design house run from Lyon by Emily Erin and Nicolas Fouilleroux. We design and guide private wine days and longer trips across France for a small number of clients each season. Alongside that we train teams, build wine lists for chefs, give talks, and write and photograph the places we know best.

The peopleTwo of us, and the people we trust on the ground

Emily ErinFounder, sommelier and travel designer

Emily Erin is an American sommelier who has lived and worked in French wine since 2017. She trained as a sommelier in Paris, holds the WSET Level 3, French Wine Scholar and Bourgogne Master Level, and spent years on the trade side, in marketing and content for producers, importers and wine platforms.

She designs every trip we sell, guides our most personal days, and photographs and writes everything published under the Paris Wine Girl name. Before wine she had a career in the arts as an aerialist, which is what first brought her to Paris. It may explain her belief that a good day, like a good show, has every moment in its place.

English and French

Nicolas Fouilleroux, co-founder of Paris Wine Girl
Nicolas FouillerouxWine educator and guide · DipWSET

Nicolas was born in Paris and came to wine after fifteen years in classical music, where he co-founded the orchestra Le Cercle de l’Harmonie. He holds the WSET Diploma, reached Stage 2 of the Master of Wine programme, teaches WSET courses up to Level 4, and is an ambassador for the Wines of Provence and faculty at INSEEC.

He guides many of our private days, and he makes the technical feel simple and the history feel close.

French, English, German and Italian

Behind us is a small circle we trust: two guides who work with us in Burgundy and the Rhône, and a travel designer who helps carry the planning in busy months. Every trip is still designed and checked by Emily Erin.

We know the great houses and the family cellars, the tables worth the drive and the ones to skip.

Who we work withPrivate clients first, and the companies who bring us in

Travel companies

Luxury travel companies and advisors in the United States and the United Kingdom, who trust us with their guests on the ground.

Companies

Wine training for teams, wine lists and pairings for chefs, talks and tastings for companies, and events with brands who want wine done well.

Regions, estates and hotels

Who commission our writing and photography, and bring us in to show their part of France to the people who matter.

How we workFour things that do not change

  • Every day is designed around the people taking it.
  • Every booking is made in your name, and what you pay on the ground is priced before you leave.
  • We take on a limited number of clients each season, so each one has our full attention.
  • We do not run group tours or sell set itineraries.
